Moni is a pretty polish artist girl. Henry is a whiny asian american sort-of-an-artist guy. They met in middle school, went through 4 years of highschool art, and then went their separate ways. Moni is getting her film degree at Columbia Art & Design in Chicago, while Henri is getting his bio degree at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign.
One day, after Henri moved from Illinois to Atlanta, Georgia, Moni decided to be a wonderful person and send Henri a present. Henri recieved the bulky package, and upon opening, found a handmade sketch book with a wonderfully typed note in it. Thankful and inspired, Henri later got into his head that he should make t-shirts (only doing it once in his life before).
The two artist friends, once artist rivals, declared war against mass produced machine made art and decided to venture together in a handmade collaborative effort. Henri and Moni soon made a website, calling it lautrecoeur, meaning "the other heart," hoping it will busy themselves, earn some extra revenue, make children happy, and remind themselves how cool it is to be friendly.
